Gravity

Gravity is weak because a grain must pass all twenty-one gates at once. Each gate is worth the grip. Twenty-one grips, multiplied.

Twenty-one gates at the neck. All or none.
Twenty-one gates. All or none.

Gravity is by far the weakest of the forces. Why so weak?

Picture an hourglass. At the neck, a grain passes from what could happen to what has happened. There are twenty-one gates at the neck.

A gate is one completed exchange: a writer and a reader. It is worth the grip.

A grain passes all twenty-one gates, or none. So the gates multiply. The grip, twenty-one times over. That is a very small number. That is all gravity’s weakness is.

Two small factors stand beside it. The neck is the grain’s own opening: one grain over its own disc. And the arena holds its first break once, and that holding costs.

Gravity is not one of the gates. It is the ring the gates meet on.

The laboratories cannot agree on gravity. Their measurements differ from each other by many times their own bars. Against one atom-interferometry measurement, the number sits right on it. Against the official average, it sits well below. Both rows are shown.

The switch was written down to test the direction. As the laboratories close their errors, does the average move down toward this number, or up away from it? If it settles upward, the prediction dies. There is no fallback.

On the record

The first reading of gravity, in AP28, was wrong. It left out the arena’s holding of its first break. It was withdrawn on 21 September 2026, superseded by the realised value, and kept on the record, dated.

The value of the arena’s holding was first selected among structural candidates only, every elimination published, none chosen by comparison with the measured value. It was then read by rule. A switch fires on any choice behind gravity made by comparison with the measurement and left undisclosed. It has not fired.
